Waipoua Forest Visitors Centre
Set in the heart of Waipoua Forest by a beautiful river and swimming hole the perfect place to relax and enjoy this ancient kauri location The Waipoua Forest Visitor Centre complex offers not only an information centre and cafe, but also accommodation.
The centre is owned and operated by the local Iwi Te Roroa, who also bring Maori culture and forest regeneration to visitors through their Maori cultural activity programmes and tree planting Oranga Whenua.
Accommodation consists of cabins with shared facilities, guest houses which sleep up to 10 people plus campervan parking. Café Forrest offers morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, plus evening meals for visitors staying onsite.
